Terms and Conditions

Because we want you to enjoy cycling as much as we do, we promise to provide you with a quality bike and accessories that have been carefully maintained and fully checked. We at Plymouth Bike Hire will be honest, fair and helpful.
As the client you are responsible for the bike and all other equipment provided for your hire. This means that you should take care to lock the bike to a fixed object through the frame whenever it is unattended, using the lock provided. Even when locked it remains your responsibility and you should not leave it unattended for extended periods of time. You will be charged £250 if an unlocked bike is stolen.

Please report any accident or damage to Plymouth Bike Hire immediately on return. There is a list of standard charges for items damaged during hire on display at the Bike Bus. You will be required to pay for any damage caused beyond fair wear and tear.
Helmets are available free of charge with every hire and we strongly recommend that you wear one. And we insist that children under 12 years old must wear a helmet.

No equipment provided by Plymouth Bike Hire should be taken onto a beach.
Hire bikes are intended for light trail and road use. They should not be taken "off-road" e.g. Cann Wood.
Plymouth Bike Hire does not accept any liability for personal injury, loss or damage to property beyond its legal obligation.
You should return your bike and equipment by 6 pm or before dusk if this is earlier.
