Coypool Park & Ride

Our main hire centre sits at the start of the Plym Valley Trail — a traffic-free, flat route through ancient oak woodland perfect for families, beginners, and nature lovers. Collect your bikes, get kitted up with helmets and a route map, and you are on the trail within minutes.

GETTING HERE

By Car

From Plymouth city centre, take the A374 east towards Plympton. Follow signs for Coypool Park & Ride. Free all-day parking is available. Sat nav: PL7 4TB.

By Bus

The number 21 bus from Plymouth city centre runs to Coypool. Journey time approximately 20 minutes. Check Traveline South West for current timetables.

By Train

Plymouth railway station is approximately 4 miles from Coypool. Take a taxi or the number 21 bus from the city centre. Alternatively, you can cycle part of the Plym Valley Trail from Laira Bridge.

On the Trail

Once you have your bikes, the Plym Valley Trail starts directly from the car park. Ride north through Plymbridge Woods, past the viaducts, to Clearbrook (5 miles) or continue to Yelverton and Burrator Reservoir on Dartmoor.

CHECK IN

Head to our hire centre at Coypool Park & Ride. Our friendly team will check your booking and get you set up. Bring valid photo ID.

GET FITTED

We will fit your helmet, adjust your bike to the right size, and give you a quick safety briefing. E-bike and e-recumbent riders get a full demonstration.

RIDE!

Pick up your route map and head straight onto the Plym Valley Trail. Return your bikes by 5:00 PM. Our team will be happy to recommend the best café stops along the way.
